RO KURINEC - ZELENÁ VODA

The fact that it is possible to spend nice moments in Slovakia perfectly was also confirmed by the 36th meeting "Zdravotnícke RCC", which was organized by Camping Caravaning Club ISC SERVICE - KOŠICE in the recreation center KURINEC - ZELENA VODA near the town of RIMAVSKÁ SOBOTA. The summer recreational area in the southern part of central Slovakia offers its visitors swimming in pools with drinking and geothermal water or in a water reservoir, which is part of the resort with boat and pedal boat rental and the possibility of fishing. The surrounding area offers a wide selection of cultural and cognitive activities. In the campsite, which is located in the area, there were 14 caravans, 19 motorhomes and 8 tents, in which a total of 105 registered participants, of which 19 were children, spent pleasant moments.

In addition to all-day swimming, we were on a small bike tour around the water reservoir or a visit to the Gemer-Malohont Museum in Rimavská Sobota, 5 km away by a free sightseeing train. A nice environment, a number of refreshment stalls and perfect care of all employees of the area contributed to the confirmation of a good choice of place for a joint event.

Visit to the Gemer - Malohont Museum in Rimavská Sobota Planned unplanned on 26.6.2020 we visited the museum in Rimavská Sobota. We took the journey to the museum by city train, which is surprisingly free. The train leading us took us to the front of the museum by agreement. It had just started to rain, so our small group welcomed the fact that we could hide in the museum. After an initial short search for a guide, we got to the bowels of the museum. The museum is small, but it has a lot to offer. It is the fifth oldest museum in Slovakia. It was founded in 1882. It has 8 main exhibitions. One of the most interesting exhibits is the Egyptian Mummy of a Woman.

It is one of five mummies in Slovakia. The visit to the museum lasted about 1 hour. Then we went for an individual walk around Rimavská Sobota. According to the children, the ice cream was excellent. Adults spent their time doing small shopping or having coffee. We returned from the square by train in probably the biggest downpour of the day. It was an interesting ride, as the train has no windows or doors, even adult men were crowding together. But nice weather awaited us at the swimming pool. Participation in the museum was 11 adults and 8 children.
