History
From the beginning until today.
- 1981
1981
TJ Zdravotník is founded
On 9 December 1981 a group of enthusiasts founded TJ Zdravotník at the teaching hospital on Rastislavova Street in Košice. It brought together a women's volleyball team, windsurfers, footballers, a chess section, marathon runners and a tourism branch with two sections — walking tourism and a section for motor touring, camping and caravanning (OMCC).
The founding members were Dr Letkovský, Dr Poništ, Mrs Rambousková, Mr Orban, Dr Grocký, Mr Pavlov, Ing. Krón, Dr Magyar, Dr Posluch and Dr Mézeš. František Nedvěd was put in charge of the MCC section and got it going with the substantial help of Július Vágaši, at the time chairman of the city's motor touring, camping and caravanning organisation.
- 1982
1982
First annual meeting of the section
At the annual general meeting on 17 December 1982 the MCC section reviewed its first full year, which every officer present judged very good and active. The club counts its seasons from this year.
- 1983
1983
Medics help in road traffic
The section entered 1983 with a new chairman, František Rakovský, and a stated goal: to prepare a nationwide event called Zdravotníci pomáhajú v cestnej premávke — Medics Help in Road Traffic — to show the public what medical staff do at the scene of a road accident.
- 1984
1984
The first Zdravotnícke rallye
The first edition of Zdravotníci pomáhajú v cestnej premávke was held at PT Medzev on 12 – 14 October 1984. It was put together by the section's new committee under Vladimír Jankovič and secretary Emil Hajoš, together with the workplace trade union, the TJ Zdravotník committee, the walking tourism section and the city's motor touring, camping and caravanning section. That laid the foundation of an event still held today as one of the highlights of the Slovak caravanning calendar.
Under the Jankovič – Hajoš pairing the section grew fastest. This is when the annual events took shape that, with minor changes, have carried the club ever since: Easter in the open air, Children's Day, the Zdravotnícke rallye, the Hornád river descent, club holidays, getting to know Košice, day trips around the region, and St Nicholas.
- 1991
1991
FICC world rally in the High Tatras
Club members helped organise the FICC world caravanners' rally in Tatranská Lomnica. They are also regulars at other major walking and motor touring events at home and abroad — the Slovak summer and winter walkers' meets, youth ascents of Rysy, high-mountain ascents of Kriváň and Slavkovský štít, the Danube Camping Rally, the FICC world rallies, Europarallye, Rallye Buď FIT in Piešťany, Interrally in Diakovce, Rallye Zlatý dukát in Kremnica, Adria rallye and Dahlia rallye.
- 1994
1994
An independent club
Amid the changes of the time the section became a legal entity in its own right, took the name Camping a Caravaning Club Zdravotník and adopted a new logo. It was led by a president and a vice-president — with the membership's unanimous backing, the Jankovič – Hajoš pairing again. The club joined the National Automotoclub (NAMK) and the Slovak Camping and Caravaning Club (SCCC), where its officers held various posts on the presidium. At its peak it had around 150 registered members.
Members also worked with the organisers of other motorsport events — Rally Košice, Rally Matador Tatry, Rally Prešov, Rally Snina, Gemer-Malohont Rally Rimavská Sobota, Mikona Rally Bratislava and Suzuki Autosalón Rally Nitra — preparing and running special stages, managing race control and other work that keeps a stage safe.
- 2001
2001
A younger committee
A club is a living thing — new members arrive, older ones leave, and the members' children, raised in the club's close-knit spirit, grow up and start families of their own. As part of bringing younger people forward, Róbert Tutko was elected to lead the club, together with a new committee.
- 2001
2001
Majster volantu
Majster volantu — Master of the Wheel — started as an occasional outing for club members. When a good number of non-members turned up to compete, the club decided to make it an annual competition. Working with the Košice-západ borough and its mayor Mr Mutafov, who donated the cup, the first edition of Majster volantu for the challenge cup of the Mayor of Košice-západ was held in May 2001.
- 2002
2002
The Košice driving-skills league
Interest outstripped what the organisers had expected, so the younger committee added a city-wide four-round series, the Košice league for the Master of the Wheel in driving skills. Its first round was held in 2002 as part of the second Majster volantu. The club runs a round each quarter, each time with a different Košice borough, and the fourth as a winter driving-skills event early the following year.
Since 2003 one round, usually the summer one, is run at night, so competitors can test their craft in complete darkness. In 2003 the competition joined the official programme of the Days of Košice, and since 2004 it has also been run for the OC Cassovia cup as a supporting event of the Košice Motor Show.
- 2003
2003
The first club website
At the annual general meeting, at the request of the committee and the members, a new committee was elected under František Egri, who together with vice-presidents Emil Hajoš and Vladimír Jankovič set out to keep the club's long-standing traditions going. Under his leadership the first club website in Slovakia was built, which improved how the club promoted itself and kept not only its members but the wider caravanning community informed. It showed in the club's standing at home and in the international caravanning movement.
- 2006
2006
The annual meeting moves
At the annual general meeting in January the renewed and enlarged membership re-elected Vladimír Jankovič as president and Emil Hajoš as vice-president. Working with the Slovak Camping and Caravaning Association, with other clubs and with international bodies called for an earlier meeting, since that is where the next year's calendar and changes in membership are decided. The next annual meeting was therefore held as early as 1 December 2006, and it has been held in early December ever since.
- 2007
2007
New statutes and Haligovce
President Vladimír Jankovič stepped down at the December meeting. An extraordinary general meeting was therefore called for 2 February 2007; it approved a change to the statutes and elected a new committee under Jiří Klika, with Emil Hajoš and František Egri as vice-presidents.
The call to find attractive new locations for club events appealed to the new leadership, which picked out Goralský dvor in Haligovce. The April Zdravotnícke RCC was held there, combined with the 41st Camping and Caravanning Rally.
- 2008
2008
Commendation from the SACC
For its work and for promoting caravanning at home and abroad, the club received a Commendation from the leadership of the Slovak Camping and Caravaning Association for developing caravanning and camping in the region of eastern Slovakia.
- 2008
2008
A change at the top
September 2008 was another milestone for the club — Jiří Klika gave up the presidency and the committee led the club in the interim. The annual general meeting of 16 December 2008 elected František Egri president, with Emil Hajoš as his right hand, the vice-president.

2011
The spring meet of Ferko Kaňanský's friends
At the suggestion of our member Ferko Kaňanský, a get-together was held at Goralský dvor in Haligovce at the turn of April and May 2010. Caravanners from Hungary and the Czech Republic were pleasantly surprised by the place and its facilities, and so the first Spring Meet of Ferko Kaňanský's Friends took place in 2011. Fero Kaňanský, Laco Simoník for the campsite and Emil Hajoš stood behind it and ran it.
The third edition saw the first retro May Day parade through the campsite — a fine tradition that other Slovak clubs have taken up as well. Since the seventh edition in 2017 our club has been a co-organiser.

2011
New partnership, new name
The trade union branch at the teaching hospital on Rastislavova Street, where the club was registered, had lost interest in its activity, and none of the club's members worked at the hospital any more. In 2010 the general meeting therefore accepted an offer of co-operation in camping, caravanning and tourism from JUDr. Igor Cap, managing director of Wagon Slovakia Košice, and instructed the committee to prepare a change of name, statutes, logo and registered office. The meeting approved them on 18 February 2011, the Slovak Ministry of the Interior registered them on 7 March 2011, and the club was renamed Camping Caravaning Club Wagon Slovakia Zdravotník (CCC WGSKE Zdravotník).
The first event under the new identity was the 27th Zdravotnícke rallye CC, at the same time the 43rd Camping and Caravanning Rally in Haligovce, for which the club received a letter of thanks from the SACC. The annual general meeting of 14 December 2011 elected a new committee under Emil Hajoš, with Peter Danielis as vice-president.
- 2013
2013
Merger with Turist klub Košice
At the suggestion of the main sponsor, Wagon Slovakia Košice, the committee discussed merging the caravanning clubs of Košice. Those members of TJ Turist klub Košice who wished to do so joined as full members at the annual general meeting of 11 December 2013. So that the new members would be represented in the leadership, the meeting elected a new committee under Emil Hajoš, with Jaroslav Manák and Slávka Capová as vice-presidents.
The new members brought new events with them — the Winter Camping and Caravanning Rally, the bowling tournament and trips to the thermal baths. As more children came along, Children's Day and St Nicholas were revived, and members turned out more often at other clubs' meets at home and abroad.
- 2015
2015
Youth and sports-and-culture commissions
The sheer number of new events pushed the committee to widen its ranks. The annual general meeting in December 2015 approved a youth commission chaired by Ing. Jaroslav Manák and a sports-and-culture commission chaired by Richard Bakši. Both helped make the 20th Dahlie rallye in Liptovský Trnovec a success, and put what they had learned to use organising the 22nd Dahlie rallye in Haligovce, which our club hosted.
- 2016
2016
Club of the Year
The club was named Club of the Year 2016 and, two years later, Club of the Year 2018. It took an active part in the life of the city — in the Košice European Capital of Culture 2013 and Košice European City of Sport 2016 projects — and did what it could for camping and campsites in and around Košice. New club clothing from the sponsor Wagon Slovakia also helped members stand out at events. Coach trips to the natural, cultural and historical sights of Slovakia were added as well.
- 2019
2019
ISC SERVICE — Košice
Wagon Slovakia was sold to a new owner with no connection to caravanning and therefore no interest in continuing the partnership. The former owner, Igor Cap, set up a new company and was keen to carry on. The committee called an extraordinary general meeting for 29 June 2019, held during the regular 35th Zdravotnícke RCC in Kurinec. The meeting unanimously approved a new name for the club — ISC SERVICE — Košice — along with new statutes and a new logo. With the new name came smart new club clothing from the returning sponsor.
- 2020
2020
New club leadership
2019 also brought the committee's regular term to an end — time to bring younger people into the leadership and into the club's work. The annual general meeting in January 2020 confirmed Ing. Jaroslav Manák Jr. as club president, assisted by first vice-president Emil Hajoš and second vice-president JUDr. Igor Cap.
Separate commissions were set up at the same time: Richard Bakši leads the youth commission, Adriána Škovirová the cultural one and Zdeno Steiner the sports one. Františka Farkašová – Drotárová is responsible for finances, and Jaroslav Manák Sr. oversees it all.
- Today
Today
Still on the road
The club keeps its traditional events going — opening and closing the club season, the Zdravotnícke rallye for camping and caravanning, winter meets, the bowling tournament and sightseeing trips. It remains one of the leading voices for club caravanning in Slovakia and goes on promoting camping, caravanning and motor touring.
Roads bring people together.
