Opening of the spring season

Campsite Goralský dvor, Haligovce As every year, the opening of the spring caravan season in Haligovce was planned - "Goralský dvor", no longer as the Spring Meeting of Friends of Ferro Kaňanský. This time it was organized directly by "Goralský dvor" with his staff. The date was also postponed due to the raging virus, to the date instead of the planned club opening in Podlesok, which was completely canceled. The terrain was excellently prepared for camping, as always, paved and with mowed grass. The first days the weather was not so favorable to us, even though it was not raining. As in previous years, this year all comers were welcomed in the Slovak way.

Bread with cheese spread and homemade sudovica. The program was adjusted according to the incoming "Coronavirus", which limited all participants. However, there were traditional local attractions, such as rafting and rafting. The first days were in the spirit of exploring the surroundings, individual trips and, of course, meetings with friends. Due to the lack of tests to detect Covid 19, we replaced it with a "new test" under the professional supervision of the campsite owner. Under the name "barrel pine". Regular testing detected symptoms of loss of smell and taste, which are one of the symptoms of Covid 19. As long as you have not lost these symptoms, you are guaranteed to be healthy.

Of course, there were also other tests from Slovak liqueurs, but it could not be compared to barrel pine. Evening gatherings by caravans also found their place. There was no mistake in the traditional ceremonial raising of the national flag of Slovakia to the tones of the national anthem and inherent speeches. The construction of maypoles and the May Day parade did not take place for the above reasons. Overall, I have to say that the meeting fulfilled its purpose despite the circumstances. Although public events were limited, even not allowed, and the advertising for this event was not so pronounced, there was a fairly decent number of stable caravanners who could not wait to stay in the spring nature.
