Event report... For our regular event during the winter holidays of our schoolchildren, after 10 years, we returned to the environment in the resort of Dedinky Mlynky to the NITA cottage in Palcmanská Maša, surrounded by 25 cm high white snow. After a joint dinner and the opening by Jaro and Vojta, who were preparing this event, there was an introduction to the program for 28 participants who came to admire the beauty of the Slovak Paradise, 14 of our young people managed to get away from their mobile phones for a while and attract them with table tennis, table football or later billiards, which they playfully mastered after demonstrations from adults. The adults then reminisced about previous winter meetings during the animation of photos.

Nice sunny weather, right after a hearty breakfast, pulled the skiers to Mlynky on the slope. The others went on a hike from the Nita cottage to Mlynky to the slope, where they encouraged our skiers and then to the Mlynky-Biele vody resort and further around the ski lift up the hill. There we had an amazing panorama of the water reservoir of the village, to which some of them went down the slope to the other side of the hill. Then we continued to the local very nice pizzeria in Dedinky, where we all sat together with the skiers with delicious refreshments. After two hours of lounging, we returned to the hostel, where we watched an exciting hockey match.

Of my planned 4.5 km, according to their pedometers, it was said to be 8 km. At 6:00 p.m., we enjoyed delicious food and then 112 prizes were distributed in a raffle organized by Miška and Vierka. The main prize was donated by our members to the Korytár family from Moravská Všemina, which was won by Helka. The breaks during the raffle were filled by our accordionist Ľubo from Vítěz with songs on request and together we continued to have fun until late hours. After breakfast, the 1st Vice President evaluated the event and thanked everyone for their participation and the cottage operators Zuzka and Jožek. At the end, some of them still had skiing on white waters or a walk along the dam wall with a view of a passing historic train with a steam locomotive, and then a bit of slipping on the icy road with cars.

Finally, a planned detour on the way home to the village of Vítěz with a stop with rich refreshments in a resort with two bowling alleys near Galdunovcoc. Written by Manák Jaro sr.
